Li Xiaojuan

Vice President of CNU

Born in February of 1965, Mrs. Li Xiaojuan is a member of the CPC, a professor and PhD instructor.

Li Xiaojuan completed her bachelor’s degree from the East China Normal University in 1986 and her master’s in 1991. In 1999, she was awarded a Ph. D. from the Institute of Remote Sensing Application, Chinese Academy of Sciences. From 2000 to 2002, she conducted her post-doctoral research at the Center for Environmental Sciences at the Peking University.

Main social titles: Vice President and Secretary-General of the Geographical Society of Beijing; Member of the China National Committee for Terms in Sciences and Technologies; Member of the China High-resolution Earth Observation System Specialist Committee; Editorial board member of Geo-Information Science.

Her major research topics are related to research and teaching in Remote Sensing (RS) and Geographic Information System (GIS). She was awarded the “Outstanding Moral Education Worker in Beijing” in 2005 and the “Teacher of Excellence in Beijing” in 2006. In 2008, she won the first prize of the Beijing Education Teaching Achievements Award and the second prize of the National Higher Education Teaching Achievements Award. She has been recognized as an advanced individual in China National Committee for Terms in Sciences and Technologies in 2010. She has won the first prize of the Provincial and Ministerial level Science and Technology Advancement Award thrice in 2009, 2012 and 2016.
